Sex And The City 2

The following is another guest post by my father,  frequent writer of movie reviews. That he actually went to see this one is a surprise to me. Even before reading this I had no intention of doing so myself.

Movie Review – Sex and the City 2 – Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall. Comedy / Drama – About two hours long and in theaters now.

The four ladies are back with their relationships and insights into life and love. Three of them are now married and the single one is getting older. Life still has problems. Married life is sometimes boring, work hard and children can drive you nuts.  There are jealousies, hot nannies and a host of other difficulties which more or less get resolved (sort of) on a trip to the Middle East. Robin Hood with Russell Crowe

This is a guest post by my father. We both enjoy writing reviews of movies, events, places, etc. Here’s his review of Robin Hood (2010).

Movie Review – Robin Hood with Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchette – about 2.5 hours and in theaters now. (Trailer here.)

Think of this as “Robin Hood the Prequel” because it is not the story you are familiar with. In this version Robin is an archer in King Richard’s Army which is looting France on the way home from losing one of the crusades. Through a series of events Robin ends up in Nottingham, marries Lady Marion and has to help the newly crowned King John kick out the French. Of course there is all kinds of evil afoot and lots of plotting and fighting. We even have some sort of a love interest (it’s hard to tell since Robin displays almost no emotion) with Cate Blanchette as a kind of older, grubby looking Maid Marion.
